ZF Electronics, a global leader in driveline and chassis technologies, purchased TRW Automotive on May 20, 2015. The firm presently has 230 offices in 40 different countries. In 2014, both businesses were self-contained. With about 134,000 people, the Group generated revenues of moreover €30 billion euros. In the Electronic Systems business area, the Industrial Solutions (IS) product line develops and produces electromechanical components, such as snap switches, panel-mount switches, rocker and sealed rocker switches, a comprehensive range of sensor goods, and Energy Harvesting wireless devices. Target customers of the Industrial Solutions product line include home appliances, HVAC, medical equipment and non-automotive equipment such as agricultural and commercial appliances, power sports vehicles (including sea and RV) oEMs and distributors.
