Description

The Microchip Technology MCP1631RD-DCPC1, MCP1631RD-DCPC1, and MCP1631HV Digitally Controlled Programmable Current Source Reference Design are power management ICs designed to provide a precise, digitally controlled current source. The MCP1631RD-DCPC1 and MCP1631RD-DCPC1 are designed to provide a constant current source up to 1A, while the MCP1631HV is designed to provide a constant current source up to 5A. All three ICs feature a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V, and are capable of providing a programmable current output from 0.1mA to the maximum current rating. The ICs also feature a low quiescent current of only 1.5mA, and are designed to operate over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The ICs are ideal for applications such as LED lighting, battery charging, and power supply regulation.
