The ADM232 series is a family of RS-232 line drivers/receivers that operate from a single 5 V power supply. They are intended for all EIA-232-E and V.28 communications interfaces, especially in applications where ±12 V is not available. The ADM232 series offers two RS-232 drivers and two RS-232 receivers in a single package. The ADM232 series is designed to interface between TTL logic and RS-232C levels. The devices are guaranteed to run at data rates of 120 kbps while maintaining RS-232 output levels. The ADM232 series is available in 16-pin plastic DIP and SOIC packages.
