OxiCap® NbO Capacitors are solid electrolyte capacitors uniquely developed with niobium oxide-based technology by Kyocera AVX. They are extremely stable performance capacitors with high-reliability levels of 0.5%/1000hrs at 85°C or better, high safety technology with non-burning high resistance failure modes, and high breakdown voltage. OxiCap® is available as low ESR, High CV, low profile, up to 125°C, and multi-anode technologies. NOJ OxiCap® capacitors use Niobium Oxide powder as the main material for the anode electrode for general applications. High-reliability level (failure rate 0.5%/1000 hours); low ESR NOS devices have an even lower failure rate (0.2%/1000 hours) – even more reliable than tantalum capacitors.
Features
The main features of OxiCap series Niobium oxide capacitors may be summarized as follows:
1. AVX Corporation’s OxiCap series Niobium oxide capacitors are extremely stable performance capacitors with a high-reliability level of 0.5%/1000hrs at 85°C or better. They have high safety technology with non-burning high resistance failure mode and high breakdown voltage. OxiCap® is available as low ESR, High CV, low profile, up to 125°C, and multi-anode technologies.
2. The NOJ OxiCap® capacitors use Niobium Oxide powder as the main material for the anode electrode for general applications. They have a high-reliability level (failure rate 0.5%/1000 hours) and low ESR NOS devices have an even lower failure rate (0.2%/1000 hours) – even more reliable than tantalum capacitors.
3. The OxiCap® NOS Series features & benefits include low ESR Nb0 Capacitors, Non-Burn Safe Technology, Reliability Level: of 0.2%/1000 hrs, 100% Surge Current Tested CV Range: of 10-1000μF / 1.8-8V 9 Case Sizes Available IBM Global Approval Received in 2004 Elektra Award Received in 2005 Meets Requirements of AEC-Q200 -55 to +125°C Operation Temperature.
Applications
The NOJ OxiCap® capacitors use Niobium Oxide powder as the main material for the anode electrode for general applications. The OxiCap® non-burn technology is based on NbO niobium oxide ceramic material as the anodic material processed through the same manufacturing process as tantalum capacitors. The NLJ Series Niobium Oxide Capacitors feature OxiCap® non-burn technology and are environmentally friendly and RoHS compliant.
