The Microchip Technology MCP8024 is a 3-Phase Brushless DC (BLDC) Gate Driver with a power module. The MCP8024 device integrates three half-bridge drivers to drive external NMOS/NMOS transistor pairs configured to drive a 3-phase BLDC motor, a comparator, a voltage regulator to provide bias to a companion microcontroller, power monitoring comparators, an internal charge pump for gate drive bias and protection against over-current and under-voltage events

How do I choose a suitable motor driver for my project?
Compatible motors: The first thing to look for when selecting a motor driver is the motor driver’s compatible list of motors. Most motor drivers are compatible with brushless DC motors, geared motors, and stepper motors but some motor drivers are compatible for angle-based motors like servo motors. Voltage and current: It is important to select a motor driver for your project by first looking at the voltage and current ratings of it. Power consumption: The power consumption of the motor driver is also an important factor to consider when selecting a motor driver. Control interface: The control interface of the motor driver is also an important factor to consider when selecting a motor driver. Some drivers can be controlled using PWM signals while others require serial communication.
