The IPAD series includes both LC and RC networks, which are designed to provide superior performance in a wide range of applications. What are the differences between the types of STMicroelectronics IPAD™ series EMI/RFI Filters (LC, RC Networks)?

The STMicroelectronics IPAD™ series EMI/RFI Filters are available in two types: LC (Inductance-Capacitance) and RC (Resistance-Capacitance) Networks.  The main difference between the two types of filters is the way they attenuate noise. LC filters are designed to attenuate high-frequency noise, while RC filters are designed to attenuate low-frequency noise. LC filters are more effective at attenuating high-frequency noise, while RC filters are more effective at attenuating low-frequency noise.  In addition, LC filters are more expensive than RC filters, and they require more components to achieve the same level of noise attenuation. RC filters are simpler and less expensive, but they are not as effective at attenuating high-frequency noise.
