The AD7891 is a 12-bit, 8-channel, parallel data acquisition system with a fast 1.6 µs conversion time. It has a selection of input ranges: ±5 V, ±10 V for AD7891-1 and 0 to +2.5 V, 0 to +5 V, ±2.5 V for AD7891-2. The device has an on-chip track/hold amplifier and is designed for high speed data acquisition systems1.
It has overvoltage protection on each channel and is a true bipolar input, single supply device. It has a parallel and serial interface and is designed for use in battery-powered systems. The device is available in 44-lead MQFP (13.9mm x 10mm) and 44-lead PLCC packages.
