The ADM3491 series of transceivers are low power, differential line transceivers designed for RS-485/RS-422 communication over long cable runs. They operate with a 3.3 V supply and are interoperable with 5 V logic. They are compliant with EIA RS-422 and RS-485 over the full common-mode range. The ADM3491 series offers data rate options of 10 Mbps and half- and full-duplex options. They have a 2 nA supply current in shutdown mode and can have up to 32 transceivers on the bus. The ADM3491 series is specified over the –40°C to +85°C temperature range.
