What are the differences between the types of Intel Cyclone® III series FPGAs?

The Intel Cyclone® III series FPGAs are available in three different types: the EP3C, the EP3C10, and the EP3C16.   The EP3C is the smallest and most cost-effective of the three types, with up to 4,000 logic elements and up to 4,000 flip-flops. It is ideal for low-cost, low-power applications.  The EP3C10 is the mid-range option, with up to 10,000 logic elements and up to 10,000 flip-flops. It is suitable for applications that require more logic and higher performance.  The EP3C16 is the largest and most powerful of the three types, with up to 16,000 logic elements and up to 16,000 flip-flops. It is ideal for high-performance applications that require the most logic and the highest performance.
