The KSZ8091 is a single-supply 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet physical-layer transceiver for transmission and reception of data over standard CAT-5 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. It is designed to provide MII/RMII interfaces to transmit and receive data at 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps over standard CAT-5 UTP cable. The KSZ8091 series is designed for embedded systems applications and supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) standard. It also supports the IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) for clock synchronization between systems.
