The MAX 3000A is the original device in the series and offers the most basic features. It has a maximum capacity of 10,000 gates, a maximum operating frequency of 66 MHz, and a maximum I/O count of 144.  The MAX 3000A-XL is an enhanced version of the MAX 3000A. It has a maximum capacity of 20,000 gates, a maximum operating frequency of 100 MHz, and a maximum I/O count of 288.  The MAX 3000A-XS is the most advanced device in the series. It has a maximum capacity of 40,000 gates, a maximum operating frequency of 200 MHz, and a maximum I/O count of 576.
