The XP2 series FPGAs from Lattice Semiconductor Corporation come in three different types: XP2-5, XP2-6, and XP2-7.   The XP2-5 is the smallest and most cost-effective of the three, with a maximum of 5,000 logic elements and up to 4,000 Kbits of embedded memory. It is ideal for low-cost, low-power applications.  The XP2-6 is the mid-range option, with up to 10,000 logic elements and up to 8,000 Kbits of embedded memory. It is suitable for applications that require more logic and memory than the XP2-5, but don’t need the highest performance.  The XP2-7 is the highest performance option, with up to 20,000 logic elements and up to 16,000 Kbits of embedded memory. It is suitable for applications that require the highest performance and the most logic and memory.
