The LDO (Low Drop Out) regulators are designed for low-noise, low-power applications and have a wide output voltage range of 0.8V to 5.5V. They also have a low quiescent current and are capable of supplying up to 500mA of output current.   The Buck (Step-Down) regulators are designed for high-efficiency applications and have a wide output voltage range of 0.8V to 5.5V. They are capable of supplying up to 1.5A of output current and have a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V.
