Description

The Microchip Technology MCP73855EV-EV Evaluation Kit is a comprehensive solution for evaluating the MCP73855 4.2V, 1-Cell Lithium-Ion/Lithium-Polymer Battery Charger. This kit includes a USB-based power supply, a USB-to-I2C interface board, and a MCP73855EV evaluation board. The MCP73855EV is a highly integrated, single-cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery charger that features a programmable charge current up to 1.5A, and a programmable charge voltage up to 4.2V. The MCP73855EV also features a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V, and a low quiescent current of only 10µA. The USB-based power supply and USB-to-I2C interface board allow for easy connection to a PC for programming and monitoring of the MCP73855EV. This evaluation kit is ideal for consumer electronics applications such as mobile phones, tablets, and other portable devices.
