Description

The Microchip Technology MCP73871DM-VPCC is a 4.2V, 1-Cell, Lithium-Ion/Lithium-Polymer Battery Charger designed for use in portable medical devices, consumer electronics, and wearable devices. It features a low-profile, space-saving design and is capable of charging a single-cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery from a USB port or other power source. The charger is designed to provide a constant current/constant voltage charge algorithm with automatic recharge and thermal regulation. It also features a programmable charge current up to 500mA, and a programmable charge termination current of 10% of the programmed charge current. The MCP73871DM-VPCC is designed to meet the requirements of the IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 safety standard and is RoHS compliant.
