The Microchip Technology MCP7383XRD-PPM is a 1-cell, lithium-ion/lithium-polymer battery charger designed for Bluetooth, consumer electronics, and wearable applications. It features a high-efficiency, low-power design that is optimized for space-constrained applications. The charger is capable of charging a single-cell lithium-ion/lithium-polymer battery from 0V to 4.2V with a maximum charge current of 500mA. It also features a programmable charge termination voltage and a programmable charge termination current. The charger is protected against over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit conditions. It is also RoHS compliant and is available in a small, 8-pin, 2.0mm x 2.0mm DFN package.
