Are A76 and LR44 the same?

The LR44 designation is an international standard (IEC 60086-3) that specifies the battery size and chemistry. The power is provided by alkaline chemistry in L batteries; in the case of the LR44, it is zinc-manganese dioxide. Both the manufacturer's part numbers AG13 and A76 are for batteries that can be used instead of LR44 batteries. Despite the fact that they are the same size as the LR44, the internal chemistry employed can differ, affecting battery life.

The Differences between silver oxide and alkaline batteries

The Silver Oxide batteries are primary cells with very high energy to weight ratio. Its energy capacity is roughly twice that of button-type alkaline batteries. Compared with alkaline batteries, silver oxide batteries offer a flatter discharge curve than alkaline batteries and a longer operating time than lithium-ion batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are A76 and 357 batteries interchangeable?

Yes. The 357 is compatible in size with the A76. The A76 uses an alkaline manganese dioxide construction and will have a shorter service life than the 357 which has silver oxide chemistry.

Is a Duracell 76 the same as a 76A?

This Duracell 76 Alkaline battery is equivalent to LR44, A76, PX76A, V136A, AG13, and L1154.

Is A76 same as LR1130?

A6 battery is not a replacement for the LR1130.

What battery is equivalent to A76?

LR44 battery equivalents are also referred to as A76, AG13, L1154, LR1154, 157. These sizes are possible LR44 battery replacements. Other batteries are similar to the LR44 battery but are different in composition chemistry.

What battery can replace 357?

LR44 Alkaline Battery replaces 357 SG13 303 A76 EXP76 SR44 AG13 LR1154 SR44SW/W, Pack of 4 batteries.
