What is PT4115?

The PT4115 is an inductive step-down high brightness driver with a continuous conduction mode that is designed to efficiently drive single or multiple series linked LEDs from a voltage source higher than the total LED chain voltage.

The device is powered by a 6V to 30V input source and has a 1.2A output current that may be adjusted externally. The PT4115 may produce more than 30 watts of output power depending on the input voltage and additional components.

The PT4115 has a dedicated DIM input that receives either a DC voltage or a wide range of pulsed dimming, as well as a high-side output current detecting circuit that employs an external resistor to adjust the nominal average output current,  When you provide a voltage of 0.3V or less to the DIM pin, the output is turned off and the device enters a low-current standby mode.

How to use PT4115?

The PT4115 includes the power switch and a high-side output current sensing circuit, which uses an external resistor to set the nominal average output current.  and a dedicated DIM input accepts either a DC voltage or a wide range of pulsed dimming. Applying a voltage of 0.3V or lower to the DIM pin turns the output off and switches the device into a low current standby state.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the use of PT4115?

The PT4115 is a continuous conduction mode inductive step-down converter, designed for driving single or multiple series connected LED efficiently from a voltage source higher than the total LED chain voltage.

How does PT4115 work?

The device operates from an input supply between 6V and 30V and provides an externally adjustable output current of up to 1.2A. Applying a voltage of 0.3V or lower to the DIM pin turns the output off and switches the device into a low current standby state. The PT4115 is available in SOT89-5 and ESOP8 packages.

What is the voltage of PT4115?

The PT4115 operates from an input supply between 6V and 30V and provides an externally adjustable output current of up to 1.2A.

How is the circuit of PT4115?
