Overview of CR2430

CR2430 batteries are non-rechargeable Lithium Manganese Dioxide (LiMnO2) button/coin-cell batteries, featuring physical dimensions of (D x H) 24.5 x 3.0 mm (~0.9646 x 0.1181 inches).
CR2430 batteries feature a nominal voltage of 3.0 volts, a cutoff voltage of 2.0 volts, and a nominal capacity of ~270-320 mAh - as usual with the batteries, actual capacity depends on the battery age, storage temperature, drain conditions (current, temperature), and similar.
The standard discharge current of CR2430 batteries is ~0.2 mA, while the pulse current depends on the pulse length, but generally, it is in the 7-15 mA range.
Overview of CR2450

CR2450 is commonly used in watches, computer motherboards, medical devices, LED flashlights, toys, remote controls, remote car keys, security systems, wearable electronics, etc.
Compared to smaller 3.0V lithium batteries, the CR2450 is a large and powerful battery with a large capacity and is often used in 'high' drain devices.
The CR2450 battery has a diameter of 24 mm (~0.945 inches) and a height of 5.0 mm (~0.197 inches) and a weight range of 5.7-6.3+ grams (0.2-0.222+ ounces).
The CR2450 battery has a negative electrode made of lithium and a positive electrode made of manganese dioxide, so its label starts with 'CR.'
The standard label for the 2450 manganese-dioxide positive electrode lithium battery is CR2450, although other labels are also used, such as 5029LC, DL2450, ECR2450, CR2450N, CR-2450, CR2450EL, CR-2450EL, CR-2450EL, etc.

CR2430 vs CR2450: Features
CR2430 Features
Can be used in a wide range of temperatures (-30°C to +70°C)
Lightweight, High Voltage, and High Energy Density
The battery voltage is 3V, almost double that of normal alkaline or manganese batteries. This means that the number of batteries required for equipment can be halved for maximum space-saving and weight reduction.
No mercury added
A full lineup for use in a wide variety of applications
Long shelf life: up to 10 years
Leave the Panasonic lithium coin CR2430 batteries for 10 years in storage and they still have 90% of their original capacity. This is the result of the chemical stability due to the combination of manganese and lithium dioxide. This long-term discharge has been tested at all operating temperatures under low-load discharge conditions.
Lots of power in a compact design
The lithium coin CR2430 battery is provided with lots of power (3V) in an ultra-compact design. When you need two, three, or more traditional batteries, you will only need one single lithium battery. This battery is excellent for small devices that require lots of power.
Excellent Leakage Resistance
The newly developed battery construction and electrolyte ensure maximum leakage resistance over a long span of time.

CR2430 vs CR2450: Conclusion
CR2450 is commonly used in watches, computer motherboards, medical devices, LED flashlights, toys, remote controls, remote car keys, security systems, wearable electronics, etc.

The CR2430 battery is a non-rechargeable lithium 3.0-volt battery with a typical capacity of 270-300 mAh and dimensions of 24.5 x 3.0 mm.
As can be seen, the CR2430 battery may fit into the battery compartments designed for CR2450 batteries, but contacts may cause problems. Furthermore, the CR2430 has much lower capacity and drain currents, which may cause certain devices to malfunction.
To summarize, do not replace the CR2450 battery with the CR2430 battery unless absolutely necessary and at your own risk!
CR2430 Battery Safety Issues
Modern CR2430 batteries don't contain mercury, cadmium, lead, and other heavy and toxic metals.
However, if the CR2430 or any other similar battery gets swallowed by kids or pets, body fluids short-circuit the battery causing various electrolytic processes that are very dangerous, even lethal - that is why most CR and similar batteries come in 'child-proof' and similar packages.
Although CR2430 batteries are not small, this may happen - if it happens, contact the nearest emergency center ASAP and do as instructed.
Please, this is a serious warning and should be treated as such!
Is CR2032 same as CR2450?
The CR2450 battery relies on the same storage technology as the CR2032 type. Therefore the energy density is the same, but the CR2450 cell provides more capacity due to its larger size. The capacity also varies depending on the manufacturer and lies around 620 mAh.
How long does a CR2450 battery last?
10 years. The lithium coin CR2450 batteries still have 90% of their original capacity after 10 years. The reason for this is that they are chemically very stable, thanks to the combination of lithium and manganese dioxide.
Is there a difference between CR2450 and CR2450N?
There is a difference between the CR2450N and the CR2450 so make sure you get the one that will fit your device. The Terrova remote needs the one with the N on it. The remote only needs one battery so I bought an extra one for a spare.
What battery is equivalent to CR2430?
CR2025 and CR2032 batteries can sometimes be used in place of each other, even though CR2025 batteries are slightly thinner. There is no true substitute for a CR2430 battery, and they represent a somewhat unique size in the battery world.
What is the nominal voltage of CR2430 batteries?
